Terms of service

Last updated July 2026

The work

Every project gets a quote before it starts. The quoted price covers what we agreed on in writing (email counts). If you ask for more along the way, I'll tell you what it adds to the price before I build it, never after.

You own your content: your text, your photos, your logo, your domain name. When a project is paid for, the finished site is yours. I keep the right to show the work in my portfolio.

Hosting

Sites I build include hosting on my server for the first year. After that, hosting renews yearly at the rate we agree on before renewal.

I work hard to keep everything online: the server is monitored around the clock, backed up, and sits behind Cloudflare. But no host on earth can promise perfect uptime, and neither do I. If something breaks, fixing it is my top priority.

Backups are kept of every hosted site. If you ever leave, I'll hand over your files and point your domain wherever you ask, no hostage taking.

Payment

Invoices are due when the work is delivered unless we agreed otherwise. If an invoice goes unpaid for a long stretch after reminders, hosted services can be suspended until it's settled.

Liability

I build and host with care, but I'm not liable for lost profits or damages that come from your site being down, delayed, or misused by third parties. My total liability is capped at what you paid me for the service in question.

Questions

These terms are meant to be readable, not scary. If anything is unclear, ask me: [email protected] or 780-678-7529.
